Book 3: Likes & Dislikes

Aku is a polar bear whilst Kamu is a koala bear. Though both are bear, however, they cannot be anymore difference from each other.

Aku favourite food is fish and Kamu loves to eat leaves! At first, it can be hard for them to understand each other likes and dislikes but as time passed by, they started to learn more about each other. They even find some things that they both loves and enjoy...

Both Aku and Kamu loves to play! They love to play hopscotch - it is a fun way for both of them to learn! Aku can learn his A B C while Kamu will learn her 1 2 3... They also share other like such as they both love the taste of coconut. Aku who is from Arctic Circle never knew about coconut before, but Kamu introduced it to him. He loves it!

Though they shared some interest together, but they still have their differences. Aku and Kamu learned about each other dislikes as well. Kamu dislikes water because she cannot swim. Aku dislikes the smell or taste of Durian, Malaysia's King of Fruit! Aku does not like cold, which is kind of funny since he lives in one of the coldest area on earth! Aku also learned that Kamu does not like thunder and lightning - she really scared of them...

It is fun learning something new about your best friends... We can share their interest and who knows it will also be our new interest as well. But what's more important is to know and respect other dislikes, even though the things that they do not like about is what we like the most.

Aku & Kamu both have their own likes and dislikes. It does not stop them from getting close with each other and becoming a best friend! Instead they learn that though it is important for best friend to share common interest, but a little difference what make friendship more interesting. As long as we respect each other likes and dislikes!
